Andre Gagne

Features Writer

Andre R. Gagne is an indigenous species generally found in Ottawa, ON, though he has been spotted by some in Paris, Tokyo, New York, Vegas, Vancouver, Ireland, London and various stops in between. Camouflaged within the local music scene, he is sometimes pounding pinball to punk, wedged between vinyl new releases, boppin' to the beats, contorting himself around bar speakers or crunched against the steel at a local festival. He is a Faces nominee for journalist of the year. He is always firmly attached to his camera, except that one time he dropped it in a fountain at the Louvre. Oops! Hits and Memories Straight From the Heart, Bryan Adams Looks Back with Bluesfest Crowd

All photos by Andre Gagne Hey HOTtawa, any weather buffs out there? On July 5, back in the summer, the summer of ’69, a ten year old Bryan Adams would have been basking in a balmy 26°c as opposed to today’s shirt soakin’ ten flaming points higher 36°c. I mean, balmy compared [...]
