Imagine being able to walk into a restaurant and order your fave childhood cereals like Cap’n Crunch and Cocoa Pebbles? Well, you don't need to just imagine because Ottawa's very first cereal café is here to stay!

JAM, which cleverly stands for Just Add Milk, is located on Bank Street and is ready to transport you back to the good ol’ days of your childhood when you’d sit down at the table and pour yourself a bowl of the most sugary and colourful cereal that your parents didn’t want you to eat, but you begged them to buy. Lucky Charms, Froot Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, oh my!

Not only can you straight up order a bowl of your fave, sugary and crunchy breakfast treat, including those that have been discontinued or are hard to find like Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch and Super Mario Berry, but JAM promises an entire experience.

Bowls are fully customizable – you can mix cereals and add various toppings like Reese’s Pieces, crushed Smarties, fruits like banana and strawberry, coconut flakes and much, much more. Not a fan of regular 2% milk? No worries, you have options for that too. JAM promises to offer lactose-free milk, soy milk, almond milk and even chocolate milk! So if you have any allergies or intolerances, you don’t have to miss out on the cereal fun.

Along with its signature cereal bowls, JAM also offers a variety of other cereal-based and inspired sweet treats including hot drinks, ice cream made with cereal-infused milk and, which we’re especially excited for, cereal milkshakes! These milkshakes are offered in various cereal flavours and are also topped with crunchy cereal making them not only delicious in flavour, but so pretty and Insta-worthy.

With these many options, who says cereal is only for breakfast? We’ll be there for every meal trying out all the different cereal combinations and toppings.

JAM is located at 891 Bank St. For more info on the cafe and to browse all their drool-worthy #foodporn shots, follow JAM on Instagram.
